…continuing with some of Mandriva 2011 beta2 featured screenshots, this is how the default desktop + application launcher interface will look like:

Default Mandriva 2011 beta2 desktop + application launcher

It is similar to what I am using on my more ‘geeky’ desktop, except for the presence of Trash icon (I guess I never used it in my life, so I don’t need it), and for the absence of virtual desktops (as you could have noticed in my previous posts in this blog, this is a feature I really cannot live without :) ).

Besides it, as it was already mentioned in some of the previous blog posts, stack folders feature will be enabled and activated by default on desktop. And this is how it looks like (on my desktop):

As you can see, LibreOffice is now fully integrated, and default desktop UI is (almost) there. Just some polishing to do, theming and updates, and beta2 will roll out!

P.S.: You may wonder why the title of this post is “StackFolders fun” if I don’t talk that much about stack folders.. well.. just install cooker and try using then to see how really cool they are! :)

..but the free time and me are a bit incompatible terms for the past months :( .

However, to resurrect this blog with something fancy, why not posting a screenshot of how my Mandriva 2011 desktop currently looks like?

(This is more-or-less what you should expect in Mandriva 2011 beta2 due some day this week.. except for some geekeries here and there.).
